The visa is a document that grants you permission to travel to other countries and also defines your status in that country. There are 2 main kinds of visa-Immigrant Visa and the Non-Immigrant visa.

The Immigrant visa is required of people who are planning to migrate or settle down permanently in a particular country of which they are not currently citizens. The Non -Immigrant visa is a temporary visa, which does not permit you to become a citizen of that country, but can visit that country for a specified time. A student is required to apply for a Non-Immigrant Visa.

It is often observed that most deserving students fail to get visas, as they do not know how to present their evidence before the consulate office and due to insufficient documentary proofs they fail to perform at the visa interview. We at MegWay Career Consultants believe that a good preparation and systematic visa file containing all the Documentation required helps a student to reply promptly and confidently at the visa interview. MegWay Career Consultants conducts mock interviews with students with the regular questions asked at the Consulate.

The following documents need to be submitted at the Consulates for Visa application:

Visa application form
Visa fees
Visa Verification fees
Academic Papers
Academic mark sheets
Original Score Sheets of TOEFL / IELTS / SAT / GRE / GMAT Examinations
Scholarships and awards secured, if any
Financial Documents

The Visa interview is the grand finale for all the students who apply for studies abroad. Obtaining the visa is a process. A student may go on any day for the visa interview, in the 90 days period prior to the expiry date mentioned on the Letter of Admission / Acceptance or the I-20. We at MegWay Career Consultants conduct mock interviews to ensure that a student is confident, clear and not only thoughtful but also truthful.
We suggest that a student tackles questions tactfully. The following are some of the regular questions asked at the interview and we teach the student to confidently reply to them:

For what purpose are you going?
Why are you leaving India?
 Why particularly this university?
What are your future endeavors / plan?
Why shall you return back to India?
Student must read the Letter Of Admission / Acceptance or the I-20 very carefully as the following questions are asked based on it:
What is the name of the university you are going to?
 Where is it located geographically?
Which program are you enrolled for?
What are your test score marks of GRE / GMAT / SAT / TOEFL / IELTS?
When did you appear for them?
What is the length of your program?
What are the expenses involved for your trip?
The following questions are asked based on your financial documents
